Goodbye Neglect, Hello Better!

Who else is ready to say goodbye to their horrible cell phone carrier and say hello to better?
Count me in!

My current phone and service is pretty laughable.  My husband and I place bets on how soon a call will drop once we've answered and it generally happens in less than a minute.  The kicker?  We receive no service in our area, even though we have full bars, and we even have Wi-Fi calling and still nothing.  I'm famous for calling my mom, carrying on a conversation, and then realizing at the end of my story that she didn't
hear a word I said because my phone kept cutting out.

So why haven't I switched carriers yet?  I guess I just figured I didn't have the time to sit down and find a carrier that actually would work in my area.  I'm not the only one who has had these thoughts cross their mind.  Take a look at these survey results:

Out of the 1,208 participants polled across four regions of the country, 56 percent of the respondents admitted to being unhappy with their carrier over the past year but only 35 percent
of all respondents have ever broken up with their provider.

In spite of this overall dissatisfaction, respondents are hesitant to call it quits. More than one-third of respondents say they stick with their current provider because they believe all carriers are the same, it is too much trouble to switch carriers, or they don’t want to sign a new contract.

A study conducted by U.S. Cellular indicates that 43 percent of individuals are in the 'seven year itch' phase with their wireless provider, noting they are comfortable but suspect they are missing out on something better.

So why haven't I switched carriers yet?  I guess I just figured I didn't have the time to sit down and find a carrier that actually would work in my area.  It's time though... especially because my cell phone is my primary phone and it's just not cutting it when I have to worry about my son's school calling, reminder calls for appointments, and not to mention, emergency phone calls!  A phone that doesn't get service is certainly not going to help me in any of those situations.

So, it's time to say, "Goodbye Neglect, Hello Better!"

U.S. Cellular believes people deserve better and want to make your life easier, and to make it easier, they offer unique benefits such as the industry’s only points-based rewards program, no contract after the first contract ends, free incoming calls and texts, free Overage Protection and free Battery Swap for your device.

Take some time to look over their plans and lets say goodbye to our horrible service together and
hello to U.S. Cellular!

Mmmm! It's breakfast time!

I'm about to share with you one of my favorite breakfast options.
Fiber One's Nutty Clusters & Almonds.

And I'm not just saying that because I was sent a couple of boxes for this review-- it truly is a favorite of mine!  When I was pregnant with both of my kids, Fiber One was the cereal I ate every single day, and have continued to love it.

My favorite part of Nutty Clusters & Almonds?  It tastes so good.  Just a slight bit sweet and they do not skimp on the chunks of almonds and it has 11 grams of fiber.

Did you know 9 out of 10 Americans don't get enough fiber in their diet?? (Per the International Food Information Council.)  I was so shocked when I read that.
So, do yourself a favor, check your fiber intake and try out Fiber One cereal!
To ge you started, visit here to download a coupon for $1.25 off one box of Fiber One's Nutty Clusters & Almonds.  Sweet deal, right?

RE:writes - It's Academic $250 School Supplies Pack Giveaway!

I am a list person.  I thrive off of making lists of to-do's, grocery lists,
appointments, goals... you name it and I can make a list for it.  Go ahead... challenge me. ;)
If you were to walk around my house a week ago you would have found paper, after paper, after paper,
with some of the most random things written on them and taped somewhere I could find it.

My whole technique was such a waste of paper.

Then I pulled out my new RE:writes, from It's Academic, and I was in all my list making glory.
I can only describe these as a white board made of the gel like material that my shoe insoles are made of.
Does that make any sense?  Just trust me.  They're awesome.

Like magic they stick to all the surfaces around the house.
I ditched all the little notes on my bajillions of pieces of paper and stuck a RE:write on my
fridge to create a list of the groceries we needed.

I stuck one right on my computer so I could still write my little reminders
to myself that I need to keep my business organized.

And the amazing part?  It's not permanent once you stick them somewhere.
Just peel it write off and stick it to something else.
Even the pen has that amazing sticky material on it that allows you to hang it wherever you need to.

Our favorite place to stick it, though?
On the door leading to our basement & garage.
Aidyn & I will leave notes for Ethan to find when he wakes up,
and as soon as Aidyn wakes up, he makes a mad dash for the door to see what his Dad wrote in reply.
It's a routine for us and now we don't have to waste scrap, upon scrap, upon scrap
of paper and tape sticking them all over the door.
Besides, all that tape leaves a gross sticky residue behind that is not fun to clean up.
I don't even have to worry about a residue being left behind now that we're
using the RE:writes.

Need to pick some up right away?  You can find them at Walmart, Walgreens, RiteAid, Meijer, and Office Max.  Prices start at $4.99.

Now that I've shared my new love affair with RE:writes, It's Academic wants to give one of my readers
$250 in school supplies!

Pretty cool, right?  The prize pack will include binders, notebooks, book covers, scissors, locker kits, mirrors, rulers, compasses, protractors, and locker shelves!
{The prize contents vary and may not be exactly as pictured above.}

So, here is how you can win.  In a comment on this blog post, tell me how you would use RE:writes.
If you skip this part-- you will not qualify for the $250 in school supplies!!  Please take the time to read all the directions because I do disqualify entries that were not followed correctly.

Juppy Baby Walker {Giveaway}

Addison just turned one on July 17.  We had her birthday party on June 30
(to put a little distance between her party and her brother's)
and the morning we started to set up she decided to start standing all by herself.
Just like that.
No assistance at all.
She did it all day, and I thought for sure she would soon start walking,
but she hasn't taken more than a few steps.

She does like to walk all over the place with our assistance though,
and I'm telling you, after having kids my back will never be the same.
Constantly bending over to hold her hands while she walked around was really starting to get painful.

Thankfully, we were sent this awesome Juppy Baby Walker.

It's so easy to use and has been such a lifesaver for my back.
I unzip the back, slide her legs in, adjust the straps to my length, and
on her way she goes.

I really think since using it her confidence has really built up because
she's been starting to take her 3 little steps more and more often.
I can just see it on her face that she's determined to take more and more on her own.

I really love that you have the option to personalize these.
It's a nice touch and now I don't have to worry about mixing mine up with someone else's.

And don't worry... it comes in more colors than pink!
I've seen it on their website with blue trim or an all black walker.

Plus, it comes with a little bag that you can roll it up and store it in, so it's easy to keep in your
baby bag, car, or closets.

Here's little Miss Addison using it with me on one of our rainy mornings.
She looks a little unsure in this photo, but I assure you she's not, she was just stuffing
her mouth full of cheese.  Haha!!

So, would you like the chance to win your very own Juppy Baby Walker?

One winner will get your choice of a Pink or Blue walker and can have it personalized
with your baby's name!!  {Total retail value of $36.90)  Open to US and Canada residents.

Please read all the rules and directions on each entry.
I do delete entries that do not follow the instructions to be fair to those that do.

Patty Pants Cloth Diapers {Giveaway}

I have just been itching to share with you this review and giveaway.
Patty Pants Cloth Diapers sent me a package with all these amazing diapers, flats and covers
weeks ago, and I swear, it was like Christmas morning in my house.
Each diaper/cover/flat was sweetly wrapped in bright paper and ribbon and
my son & I were just giddy opening up each one to see what was inside.

Now, if you haven't heard of them before,
Patty Pants Cloth Diapers is just one of those businesses that I love to love.
A great business goes way beyond having just a quality product;
they care about their customers and care about their experience with their products.
Just stop by the Patty Pants Facebook page once in awhile and I think you'll immediately
pick up on what I'm saying about them.

The Wild Kingdom Onesize Bamboo Velour Fitted is the very first diaper we
unwrapped and it was love.at.first.sight.
I immediately loved the outer bright fabric and it is just so soft but the outer
softness has no comparison to the silky smoothness of the bamboo velour inner.
I had my husband feel the softness and asked him, "Wouldn't you just love a pair of underwear this soft??"
His response, "Uh. No."  Which really, in guy talk, means,
"Yes, but I'll never be quoted as saying so on your blog."
Mmhmm.  I gotcha. ;)

The inner is 100% bamboo velour and it comes with a snap-in insert.  The snap-in insert is filled with a soy fabric and has the bamboo velour outer.

{If you're prepping your new fitted it will need 5-6 washes to fully prep it.}

Addison loves it as well.  I think she has a little pep in her crawl when she has it on. ;)
{Don't mind her.  She was too busy checking her phone to pose haha.}
It's a onesize fitted so it has snaps to adjust the length but it also has hip snaps to adjust the fit around her legs.  It's really a great all around diaper.  I put it on her during the day, not usually with a cover, but if we're going out, if she's taking a nap, or going to bed, then I put a cover on top of it.  It's a super absorbent diaper.

And these are the super cute covers I've been using over our fitted diapers and flats.
The cover on the left is Antique Quilt and the diaper on the right is Cow Girl.
Are you just dying over the fringe?
It's the little things like that fringe that just make me smile.

Isn't it adorable on?

These are the Patty Flats we've been using.
The T shape makes these so simple to put on and it allows you to fold down the material
for the best fit for your baby.  You can pin or snappi these right on.
The Patty Flats have 2 layers of absorbent soy fabric. {A natural fabric that is anti-bacterial, and also contain amino acids, which are great for your skin.}
The tops are made of a really soft fleece that is absorbent and also helps your baby feel dry.

I really really love our Patty Flats.  They've taken on a regular role in our nighttime routine recently.

So, now that I've shown you all the awesome goodies we've tried and loved from Patty Pants Cloth Diapers,
I'm going to show you what one person will be winning.

Drumroll, please....
